Brotherly Love

This morning as I was walking passed the boy's room, I looked in to find Crew and Hudson snuggled up together on the floor reading a book. These two boys love each other so much. Crew is always looking out for Hudson and asking him to play "pretend" with him. The other day I was just listening to them play and Crew says to Hudson, "Ok Hudson, you are going to be the mommy and I will be the daddy." And of course Hudson just agrees to anything Crew says. Although these two do fight some times, they really do have unconditional love for one another. I love the brotherly bond these little boys are creating now together and I hope they will be the best of friends forever.

Halloween Wreath

My friend Tara has motivated me to craft more lately. Last week we made a fall wreath together and this week we made Halloween wreaths. I am so happy with the way it turned out! Homemade crafts are just so much more meaningful and enjoyable.
Thanks to Tara for my beautiful bows and for just being here with me to craft with. It makes all the difference in the world crafting with a friend. Thanks for everything you have done for me Tara. You really have been such a great friend/ neighbor to me.
Happy Halloween to everyone...we put up all of our decorations today since I am going to be out of town for a week in October, I thought we could enjoy them a little bit early this year. Crew loves helping me put up decorations for every holiday. As we pull our decor out of the boxes he says, "Oh, mom...this is cute" to about everything I pull out. It is the sweetest thing. Once Crew found my witch hat from last year he put it on and then wanted to help me decide where everything should go. He was my little witch helper. I love Crew and am so grateful for his sweet little spirit he brings into our home. Since he has started preschool I can already tell such a difference in his attitude and the way he treats others, including myself. Crew is constantly making me laugh out loud to myself and always asks the cutest/funniest questions to me while we drive in the car. .I love this kid so much and am so grateful he was sent to me. (I love Hudson too...but he was sleeping while we did all this so that is why I am blabbing on about little Crew.)

The boys new room

For some time now I have been wanting to put the boys in the same room so I could turn Hudson's room into a playroom. So we finally found some bunk beds we like and transformed their room into a "surf" room. Crew and Hudson love their new bunk beds, not only for sleeping in but also for building forts and using their little imaginations. I left Hudson's crib up in the play room for at least a few more months...I don't think he is ready for a big boy bed yet (or maybe I'm just not ready?). We are loving the new set up and now I just need to finish the playroom. I will post pictures of that when it's complete. Also, we will be going private on Wednesday! So if you haven't already left your email so we can allow you to still see our blog...leave it now. Thanks!

Crew's 1st day of Preschool

Photobucket Photobucket
Crew was so excited to go to School...he kept saying, "Mom, is it time yet? Lets go!"

When we first went to the Orientation we found out that Crew's friend, Giselle, is in his preschool class. I am so glad that someone he knows is with him so he can feel more comfortable. Just by looking at them the first day I already know they are going to have o much fun with each other.

Crew teacher is Ms. Bush and he is going to the Sierra Madre Elementry School Pre-K class. He goes everyday for 11:15-2:15.

I cannot believe my baby is in preschool already. It was pretty emotional for me seeing him walk away with his friends and teacher to lunch all independent. I am going to miss having my little boy around all the time making me laugh and asking me all kinds of questions. Good luck Crew! I love you.

Silver Lake

For the weekend when we were up in Granite Bay we went up to the Thompson's side family cabin at Silver Lake for the Labor day weekend. My brother, Rick, and his family came up with us and we had such a blast. (I am missing some pics since they are on my Mom's camera, so I will add them to this post when I get them.) Thanks Mom and Dad for such a great weekend!

Arizona Fun!

After we got home from Hawaii, we decided to take the kids over to Arizona so we could spend some time with Wyatt's parents. We had a blast swimming all day, getting our Tia Rosas's fix, scoring at Last Chance, meeting up with friends for dinner, and taking the boys and their cousin Weston to Sunsplash. Thanks Nana and Papa for showing us such a good time!

Swimming with Daddy...we swam all day Everyday.

Our trip to Hawaii

Since Wyatt only gets a few weeks off each year from school we try to fit as much in as possible in the little amount of time he has off. On August 12-19 we went to Oahu with out the kiddos and had such a good time. Thanks Mom and Dad for watching Crew and thanks Lisa for watching Hudson. A few days after we got home from Hawaii we took off and drove to Arizona with the boys to spend some time with Nana and Papa. We then took off again a few days later to Granite Bay (northern Cal) to spend some time with my parents at their house and at our family cabin on Silver Lake. We have been go, go, go....and I think I am finally ready to be home for sometime and am ready for my boys to get back on a schedule.

Our Rental Car #1: Chrysler Sebring (after the first day we had to return it because the top wouldn't go down and it was shifting all crazy) So we "upgraded" to a Ford Mustang Convertible
