Playa Del Camen here we come!!!

Flying without kids is AMAZING!

I couldn't get over how green and lush Cancun is...oh...and SO humid!

All of the resorts we passed on the way to our resort had the prettiest entrances

this cute little boy made Crew + Hudson bracelets. Everyday  when we passed by him after this night he always went out of his way to say hi to Wyatt and I. Cutest thing!!

Wyatt and I were way overdue for a vacation together. Our last trip together, alone was our cruise during Wyatt's first year of dental school.

Thursday morning our US Airways flight left about 8:45am from Phoenix. Our seats were terrible on the way to Cancun, we sat in the very last row of the airplane and there was NO room for Wyatt's poor leg. I felt terrible for him, especially since the guy sitting in front of him kept pushing his seat further and further back. We survived though and made it safe and sound to Cancun.

Once in Cancun we had arranged for Alma LDS tours to pick us up from the airport and take us to our hotel. He was there waiting for us and it took us about 40 minutes to get to The Royal.

Funny story...so we checked into our room and when we checked in there was only 1 glass of champagne sitting waiting. (We stayed at an all-inclusive so they assume everyone drinks) Well I had first booked our hotel through travelocity and I guess Wyatt said he saw our room for a cheaper price so he cancelled my reservation and re made one. Well....it was cheaper bc he booked the resort for 1 person. HAHA...we paid the difference, got our water instead of champagne and were on our way.

They put us up in the way back of the resort where they happened to be doing some construction. We complained and were getting moved to a different room tomorrow.

After getting settled in our room, we headed down to the beach and put our toes in the sand and water and died and went to heaven. The water was unreal. So warm and blue! And the sand was like powdered sugar on your feet...amazing!

That night we grabbed dinner at one of the restaurants at the resort and then went to walk around 5th Avenue. 5th Avenue has everything from local shops to Forever 21, Mac and surf shops.

It was a great first day in Playa Del Carmen!!
